Fun at the state fair...

I don't know about you but I LOVE the fair. I love everything about it. I love the food, I love the sounds, I love the rides. I love the crazy people and the animals. I honestly love EVERYTHING. The good old Utah State Fair has been going on for the last week and a half and I have been wanting to go the entire time. Finally I decided to go yesterday. I went with Rachel and Josh (my sister and her boyfriend). I had been excited all day to get a delicious corn dog and some fried oreos. I was stoked to ride some of the fast spinny rides. They even had chocolate covered bacon this year that I concidered trying. But guess what? None of my wishes became a reality because the second we got there I got so sick!
I forget how awful it feels to be nauseous. I haven't had a baby or experianced a large amount of pain at one time but to me, being sick to my stomach is the worst feeling in the world. I felt really bad for Rachel and Josh because they felt fine but everytime they wanted to eat anything or even talk about eating anything I almost lost the contents of my stomach. So we ended up leaving pretty early. We went to our parent's house in West Jordan to get some medicine for my stomach before making the journey back to Provo. After leaving my parents house we honestly drove about ten seconds and I threw up like crazy. I feel really bad because I had a grocery sack back there with me just in case but I didn't get to it in time so I threw up twice on the floor of my sister's car then I got the bag out and threw up a couple more times into it. I was terrible. I think I started crying a little bit. Of course I felt a million times better after it all came up but I'm not sure if it was worth it or not.

Do I look like I'm faking my smile in this picture? Because I absolutely was. I felt awful and I kind of wanted to lay down and die at this point.

Me and Rach as apple heads

****WARNING: If you have a weak stomach probably a good idea to NOT look at the next picture****

So after I threw up since we were only ten seconds from my parents house we turned around to clean it up. My step mom, Lynell, and Rachel and Josh were working away trying to scrub it out of Rachel's car. They wouldn't let me help because they were concerned I would have thrown up again. Little did the know they should have been more worried about Rachel. She was cleaning and then suddenly popped up out of the car, with her eyes watering, and threw up on the driveway. It was SO funny! We were all dying laughing. Normally I would leave that out and I wouldn't think it's funny at all but if you take a look at the next picture you'll see why I think it's so funny. Well maybe you won't find the humor in it but... I thought it was hysterical.

I know, I know. My barf is way gross. But I feel you have to see it in order to truly appreciate how funny Rachel's is.....

I think I thought it was so funny because it was just the teeniest little throw up. It almost just looks like spit instead of barf.

The thing that's sad is, I threw up exactly a year ago at the fair. Maybe fairs and my stomach just don't get along. Either way I'm pretty sure I'll be at the fair next year.

  6. It's funny because that is exactly how I felt on our trip to Disneyland. I didn't let on to everyone how awful I felt, but I was ready to blow chunks all night. It wasn't until the following day that I barfed at work and had to go home early.
    Saaaad.
